~Legends of Absathus~
Abasi

Abasi was born of Nar'kesh and Nazemi blood. His mother, Niima was a wise and beautiful Nazemi woman who was widely known for her excellence as an overseer of knowledge. She was also one of the few female "professors" to teach young aspiring Khetian children within Nazem... Abasi's father was a strong Tarkan General by the name of Arsalan. He was well known for his lawful dedication to the reigning Tarkan dynasty. Arsalan had retired from active duty due to an over-seas injury during a conflict between the Zaripetian and the Khatians. From there he enlisted as a self-defense instructor and became one of Tarkan's finest combat instructors. Arsalan's life as instructor changed when he met Niima. Niima had traveled from the continent of Absathus just to visit the famous libraries of Tosh. It was there she would meet Arsalan. Three months later, they were married in gardens of Hadinad. Not long after, he would resign and open an inn to live in peace with his beautiful wife within Tosh. A year later, the gods would bless them with a son who would inherit the Nazemi name Abasi, meaning Great One. Growing up, his mother taught him much about math, science, literature and philosophy and the religions and
traditions of the Nazemi and Tarkan society. Though teased as a child by the local children for his mixed heritage, Abasi never let it bother him and so he continued to live his life to its fullest. As Abasi grew, his father had high hopes for his son that he may aspire to become a great warrior like himself. However, at the age of 13, his life would take a tragic turn. Abasi lost his parents, Niima & Arsalan for unknown causes driven by the Hansansins Lair... As if someone knew something about Abasi that would alter a hidden narrative. So his mother had him hidden in one of the laundry shafts in the back of the inn. Abasi, took his father's shield and fled once it was safe. Such a tragedy would alter his destiny. For four years Abasi roamed the Khara Desert of Western Abesh known as Zarabesh. At the age of 17, Abasi was stalking his prey when he happened upon a beast with profound features such as with bronze fur, downward saber tooth canines... It's upper back strangely hunched with spikes protruding from its back and had four eyes. Abasi would soon be taken in by a nomadic tribe and given refuge. There he would learn the ways of survival, wind magic, weapons mastery and above all...the mystery behind the runes of his father's shield. A few years would pass by before he felt that it was time to part ways and choose a path of his own.

For three years he would spend his life as a mercenary for hire...Creating a name for himself. However, little did the fates know, his harsh life had brought him back onto the path in which his father had hoped. It all began on the day he was recruited by the newly coronated empress Zaya to retrieve a sacred heirloom of great value. Such a job brought Abasi to leave his home continent of Abesh and travel to Khet within the continent of Absathus to find himself in the Upper Kingdom. Once Abasi had returned the artifact, the Empress was so impressed by his swift work, that she
offered him a position in service to her. One that would make a greater name and bring honor to his deceased family...Leading him to toss aside his mercenary past for a better life to which he owed the empress.
