Zahra, born to the late rulers of Absathus, Nephor and Senbek is the first born daughter of three siblings, her older brother Alarak and her younger twin Zaya. She grew up in a life of lavish luxury with the two paired with privileges beyond what words could describe and near limitless possibilities, yet of course, nothing comes without a price. Zahra's curiosity for the more mischievous side of life, occasionally causing chaos paired well, if not perfectly with that of Zaya's to create new life from what she destroyed, leaving her to break something just to see if her sister could create something new. It was then that the two learned that their birth was no mere accident. It represented the balance of life through nature and as they grew, their personalities molded to fit their abilities, of creation and destruction, Zahra being the latter.

Similar to the symbol of the Yin and Yang, Zaya and Zahra are the physical representation of dualism, of how opposite they are but still interconnected and interdependent on each other in the natural world, a sentiment known through history.

Time passed and her younger sister, Zaya, accepted her political duties and responsibilities as next heir to the throne, while Zahra remained a steady constant in her life, supporting her siblings and Absathus overall. She remained one of Zaya’s loyal supporters, often seen in council meetings and conducting judge and jury with her sister. Zahra still enjoys her royal stature with not only passing up an opportunity or two to delight and delve in mischievous deeds. Despite maintaining a close relationship with her twin sister, Zahra also developed a close relationship with Alarak, given their similarities. Zaya's pain to losing her beloved Bayek wasn't lost on her, in fact she felt it too, as if her sister's emotions were her own Though the love for her sister outweighed more than her stubborn ways, Zahra found it in herself to come to terms needed be and though she was the more distant of the two, she couldn't help the agony that raced through her at seeing her sister so distraught. During her years afar many suitors have come and gone, though it is expected of the princess to be wed after Zaya, Zahra knows the time would soon come. Even if it is something she is looking forward to or not, she knows it is for the best as it is her sister’s wishes and duty of Abasthus.
