~Legends of Absathus~
Zaya Of Absathus

Zaya, daughter of Nephor & Senbek and youngest of three siblings. Alarak was the eldest of the three while Zahra was the middle child; Zaya's twin. Like her siblings, Zaya grew up in a life of privilege and limitless possibilities. However privileges never came without specific obligations. Zaya developed a fondness for creation while her sister found curiosity in the chaotic aspect of nature. As children Zahra and Zaya were inseparable. When they played together, Zahra would break something just to see Zaya make something new. As they would grow older, the two sisters would realize that they were more than just twins but two sides of one coin. Their birth represented balance of life through nature. As this was realized, they began lessons to control their abilities. As they grew, their personalities were molded to fit their abilities. However that never shifted the bond between the two. Both sisters when together were a force to be reckoned with. Their brother Alarak similar to Zahra had his own talents. However, he had developed his own ways in which some would deem....unnecessary and dishonorable. As Alarak became king, the elder council mocked and ridiculed his methods of accomplishing goals despite the support from his sisters. Zaya often seeing the logic behind her brother's actions and supporting them despite his methods.
Eventually, Zaya had come of the age where it was time to accept her political duties and accept the marital arrangement decided between the council and the reigning monarch of the southern region. It was a decision that would unite both regions that would create a new dynasty. King Bayek was to Alarak which made the arrangement much easier. Zaya would become queen of Southern Khet and would conceive. Not long after the news of Zaya expecting a child, A war broke out along the border in which Bayek and her brother Alaraak united their forces and went to subdue the conflict. Their victory however would not come without consequence. Zaya would receive news personally from her brother that Bayek had fallen. Zaya lost it. She felt anger and sorrow...She mourned for days while she carried their only child. Shortly after Alarak's return, the council had stripped Alarak of his title...blaming him for the death of Bayek. Zaya would be declared the new queen. Zaya, however was no fool. With her hatred towards the council, her first act was to arrest and disband the council. Zaya would give her brother the honor of executing each one by whatever means he chose. This decision would change the course of politics. Zaya would establish council with her twin sister, Zahra. This action strengthened the authority and ruled out corruption in the courts. Eleven months would pass and Zaya would give birth to a girl in which she named Asyra, meaning "Favor of Absathus".
